As we will not have a DJ on-site for the reception, we are looking for your song requests! Be sure to leave a comment with your favorite songs so that we can build a killer play list.
I assume you've already gotten loads of slow-dance-prom perennials like; Wonderful Tonight, Stairway To Heaven, Total Eclipse of the Heart, & Rump-shaker - so I won't even bother - I will however cast a vote for Cole Porter's Night & Day.
Rough and Ready: Trace Adkins Regulators: NDogg & WarrenG Great Day to be Alive: TTritt Gimme That Nutt: EazyE And I also vote that every other song will be some form of JOURNEY
Let's take it back to when it all began...9th grade. I vote for some old school punk...mxpx, me first and the gimmies, nofx, goldfinger- ya know the goodies. You also can't go wrong with Van Morrison, Bob Dylan or Mason Jennings.
I agree with megs that there needs to be some old school punk.... Rancid takes me back to Lindsay's basement and always reminds me of Sammy, along with what megs said, NOFX and definitely some Gimmes. I'm also gonna go ahead and say "Billie Jean" from the Pedster. If I hear "Cotton-eyed Joe" I'm leavin'.
Oldies but goodies- all the way from Motown through the British Invasion, and beyond: You Really Got Me (The Kinks), My girl & other Temptations songs, Hang On Sloopy (The McCoys) Jumpin Jack Flash, Joy to the World (3 Dog Night), Pretty Woman, Land of 1,000 Dances, The Bird, Old Time Rock N Roll, Runaround Sue, Brown Eyed Girl & other Van tunes, Take Good Care of My Baby (Bobby Vee), Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow (The Shirelles), Signed, Sealed, Delivered and other Stevie Wonder, I'm a Believer (Monkees, or Cracker, I guess...) I Get Around & other Beach Boys, James Brown, Jackson 5...

Flowers in the Window-Travis
Very romantic and also would be a good transition song from all of the country to the more alternative stuff.
L.O.V.E.- Nat King Cole
Is this love-Bob Marley
It's oh so quiet- either version
I think looking into Django Reinhardt (sp?) for some background dinner music would be good.
I'll have more, but this is all I can think of right now.
